At Rolled Metal Products, we care about safety! We strive to make it a top priority and continuously train our employees
to prevent accidents and injuries. Through the SafeStart program, we encourage our employees to take the knowledge
they obtain and not only apply it in the workplace but in their homes as well.
Throughout December we’ll be sharing some holiday safety tips for you, your family and friends (source: nsc.org):
Vehicle Preparation
*Prepare your car for the winter and Holiday travels by checking items such as brakes, spark plugs,
battery and tires. Check your owner’s manual for the recommended interval for a tune-up.
*Be prepared for emergency situations on the road by having a “survival kit” in the vehicle including
items such as, a working flashlight, extra batteries, reflective triangles, compass, first aid kit, exterior
windshield cleaner, ice scraper, snow brush, wooden stick matches in a waterproof container, and non-
perishable, high energy foods like unsalted canned nuts, dried fruits and hard candy.
Remember – More than half of all traffic fatalities are alcohol-related. Use designated drivers,
people who do not drink, to drive other guests home after a holiday party.
