Over the course of the past few months, the U.S. stainless market has seen several significant
events unfold that are impacting the market.
On July 12th, The U.S Commerce Department announced preliminary countervailing
duties on Chinese imported stainless steel. The CVD for Ningbo Baoxin Stainlees Sheet Co.Ltd
was assessed at 193.12 % and all other Chinese producer’s CVD is set at 57.3%.
In addition, U.S producing mills have published price increases this year effective on
Jan 1, March 1, May 1 and July 5th.
